Tasmanian Wildlife

  • Tasmania’s wildlife is one of the reasons tourists love to visit our region.  You will see many Australian wildlife animals and birds right here in the backyard of our Launceston Wildlife Retreat and along the riverbank.

  • There are infrared video cameras installed in the back yard of the retreat allowing you to watch the animals on in real time on the television set or iPod.

  • Revel in the abundant Tasmanian wildlife, night and day, including wedge-tailed eagles, black cockatoos, kookaburras, wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas, possums, wild goats and deer.
